In 2017 we launched a campaign to support children and youth mental health. This campaign was created by Make a Difference Foundation WA CEO, Di Wilcox, and international fashion designer Aurelio Costarella, to bring attention to the power of words – not only the words we say to others but also to ourselves.
Aurelio Costarello is openly having his own battle with Mental Health issues and has teamed up with Di to make a difference.
Di and Aurelio collaborated to write the book Paper Cuts & So Do Words to raise funds for Make A Difference Foundation WA.
Along with the book, they have also designed a Paper Cuts & So Do Words t-shirt which is now available to order.
Organisations and schools are encouraged to hold an event where everyone wears their t-shirt and upload photos to social media tagging in the #papercutsandsodowords campaign. Participation via a gold coin donation to Make A Difference Foundation WA will assist us to deliver the Paper Cuts & So Do Words workshops and books to our schools.
Only through education can we help children and youth to have the tools and skills necessary to protect their mental health.
