This year’s event was once again held at Joondalup Golf Resort, WA’s Premier Resort Golf Course and we were delighted to have another full house with 144 lady golfers enjoying a fun day of golf for a number of very worthy causes, our support of the Make a Difference WA Youth Support Program, the Manna Inc Schools Breakfast and Winter Clothing Program, young Hugo from Geraldton with a specialised communication equipment who has been unable to speak since birth and support of young Kristy who lives with Down Syndrome and is in danger of losing her eyesight. Kristy had successful eye surgery with MAD supporting all her medical costs.
The Foundation was delighted to have young Jaiden Worrall (one of our Youth Scholarship recipients) and his mother Debbie come along to speak to all our guests and both received a wonderful reception. Jaiden Worrall is an up and coming young batsman/wicketkeeper who received a cricket scholarship from our foundation to continue his ongoing coaching and cricket equipment. Jaiden represented WA Under 15’s National Indoor Cricket Championships and WA were very unlucky to lose in the final. It was great to have Debbie Worrall speak with us, who we have given ongoing support by way of a modified vehicle for the past 5 years to transport her daughter Chloe who has cerebral palsy.
Next year’s event will be held on Monday 16 November 2015 at Joondalup Golf Resort. To find out further information, please e-mail Ron Conway at the foundation.
